The select gold plated limited edition “Asahi” set consists of all the double digit serial numbers from the regular series. In 2017 the final mintage for the regular series were numbers 0401~0550. 14 pieces within this group were select gold plated as seen in the picture.. 0411,0422,0433,0444,0455,0466,0477,0488,0499,0500,0511,0522,0533,0544.

This medallion is modeled after the 1 Yen silver crown that circulated through Japan and Asia during the late 1800 and early 1900’s.

A beautifully struck satin finished medallion that is marked on both sides with weight and purity. The obverse a dragon, billowing smoke and fire, clutches the pearl of wisdom and is marked “480” for 480 grains “Silver” and “999” purity. At the top of the medallion is the makers mark 砂糖山 メタールス “SatosanMetals” The reverse is Mt. Fuji with the date 2017 平成29年 (Heisei 29) 1オンス (1 ounce) 銀999/1000 (silver 999/1000) and above is the mark satousan in kanji script representing the sun.

Editions: (2015) s/n 001~0300, (2016) 0301~0400, (2017) 0401~0550.

Packaged in an air-tite plastic holder, gift box, with numbered COA.
