In 2015 SatosanMetals introduced a line of minted 1oz. silver products. The first issue is this BU struck silver round called “asahi”. The premier 2015 issue is dateless and the final mintage for 2015 was 300 pieces. Each silver round is accompanied by a numbered COA.
This silver round is modeled after the 1 Yen silver crown that circulated through Japan and Asia during the late 1800 and early 1900’s.
A beautifully struck satin finished silver round that is marked on both sides with weight and purity. The obverse a dragon, billowing smoke and fire, clutches the pearl of wisdom and is marked “480” for 480 grains “Silver” and “999” purity. At the top of the silver round is the makers mark 砂糖山 メタールス “SatosanMetals” The reverse is the rising morning sun 朝陽 ”asahi” and is marked “one troy ounce 999/1000 silver”.
Packaged in an air-tite plastic holder, with numbered COA.
Final serial numbers for the first strike 2015 edition was: 0001-0300 (COA only no edge numbers). There were no authorized gold plated limiteds produced for the first strike 2015 edition.
