Sold Out! In 2018 SatosanMetals continues the BU struck round called “Asahi”. Final mintage for 2018 were numbers 0551~0650. Each round is edged numbered and will be accompanied by a numbered COA.
This medallion is modeled after the 1 Yen silver crown that circulated through Japan and Asia during the late 1800 and early 1900’s.
A beautifully struck satin finished medallion that is marked on both sides with weight and purity. The obverse a dragon, billowing smoke and fire, clutches the pearl of wisdom and is marked “480” for 480 grains “Silver” and “999” purity. At the top of the medallion is the makers mark 砂糖山 メタールス “SatosanMetals” The reverse is a depiction of the bridge at Kintai-kyo in Yamaguchi prefecture with clouds and the “satosan” mark in the sky. The issue is dated 2018 and marked one troy oz. silver.
