LE’s are the double digit serial numbers pulled from the regular series. Only 10% of the regular run are LE’s. Serial numbers 0555, 0566, 0577, 0588, 0599, 0600, 0611, 0622, 0633, 0644 are LE’s for 2018.
Sold Out! This medallion is modeled after the 1 Yen silver crown that circulated through Japan and Asia during the late 1800 and early 1900’s.
A beautifully struck satin finished medallion that is marked on both sides with weight and purity. The obverse a dragon, billowing smoke and fire, clutches the pearl of wisdom and is marked “480” for 480 grains “Silver” and “999” purity. At the top of the medallion is the makers mark 砂糖山 メタールス “SatosanMetals”.
The obverse is sculpted beautifully by Luigi Badia. The reverse of the round has been redesigned with a representation of the Kintai-Kyo bridge in Yamaguchi prefecture and the Satosan mark among the clouds.
