2021 SatosanMetals 6th year. This is a 1oz silver re-strike of the Saitama Prefecture piece first minted in 2020. We consider this a bullion strike. Why not a bullion price? The silver market has been somewhat strained to date this year and being that I only run small batches the premiums are higher for a small fry like us.
This piece is inspired by the manhole covers you’ll spot in Saitama-ken Japan. Each municipality takes pride in its manhole cover design. They may display anything from municipal symbols, local landscapes, abstract patterns, or local legends. There are literally 1000’s of these unique manhole covers throughout Japan and I hope to bring some of the nicer ones to life in silver.
Packaged in an air-tite plastic holder.
